The Investment Ready Pathway

InvestPNG’s Investment Ready Pathway is a structured assessment framework that evaluates opportunities across five readiness pillars. The pathway is designed to bring project opportunities to a standard where they can be credibly presented to institutional investors, development finance institutions, and qualified private capital sources.

An opportunity that achieves Investment Ready status on the InvestPNG platform has demonstrated minimum competency across all five assessment pillars and has been verified by the platform team.

Five Readiness Pillars

Each opportunity is scored across five pillars, with each pillar assessed on a scale of 0 to 20. The combined total produces a readiness score out of 100:

• Legal (0–20) — corporate registration, land tenure status, regulatory permits, legal compliance, and ownership structure clarity
• Technical (0–20) — feasibility studies, engineering assessments, resource estimates, technology selection, and operational planning
• Commercial (0–20) — market analysis, offtake arrangements, revenue model, competitive positioning, and customer or buyer identification
• Financial (0–20) — capital structure, financial projections, funding requirements, return analysis, and financial documentation quality
• ESG (0–20) — environmental impact assessment, social licence, community engagement, governance standards, and sustainability commitments

Scoring and Tier Classification

Readiness scores are classified into tiers that indicate the project’s stage of institutional preparedness:

• 90–100: High Readiness — the opportunity meets or exceeds institutional standards across all pillars and is suitable for direct investor engagement
• 70–89: Good Readiness — the opportunity demonstrates strong fundamentals with minor gaps that are identified and addressable
• 50–69: Moderate Readiness — the opportunity shows potential but requires further development in one or more pillars before institutional presentation
• Below 50: Developing — the opportunity is in early-stage preparation and is not yet positioned for institutional investor engagement

Verification Process

Opportunities that reach a readiness score of 70 or above are eligible for verification by the InvestPNG platform team. Verification involves an independent review of the documentation and assessments supporting each pillar score. Verified opportunities carry a verification tag on the platform, indicating that the readiness assessment has been reviewed and confirmed.

What Investment Ready Means on the Platform

An Investment Ready designation on InvestPNG signals that the opportunity has completed the readiness pathway, achieved a minimum score threshold, and been verified by the platform team. It does not constitute an investment recommendation or guarantee of returns. It confirms that the project has been assessed against a defined institutional standard and that the documentation necessary for investor due diligence is available.
